This is a short film series whose basic idea originated in the first Lockdown. It deals with the consequences of the pandemic for each of us in different ways in the eyes of the Artist. How does our private life change? How is our work changing? What merges and what breaks away? This are some of the questions Anna Schneider asked herself during this project.
All day long you do a thousand things. All these things are now brought into one’s own home. One has a house with a garden, the other literally four walls. In search of comfort in an uncomfortable situation, I was inspired by a poster by the artist Bruno Murani.
We miss the everyday life, miss the quiet. We miss the variety, miss the hustle and bustle. We miss what we can no longer see, the distance.
„Fernweh“ was made as part of a series of six short films. The memories of what was become only fleeting moments. We long for them to be endless. We ask ourselves how we can bring the meditative atmosphere of nature into our own home and revel in the fleetingness of our memories.
Although we don’t directly see the process, understand the words, we know/suspect what is happening.
Domestic violence occurs in all social classes. Women are most often affected.
Aleks lives in a single household. Every Thursday, Aleks, Bonnie and Chris get together to eat and chat. The three have had this ritual for some time and love the evenings. Since the lockdown was declared, this is no longer possible. But Aleks misses being together and continues to stick to the delicious Thursday.
Inspired by „Dinner for One“ A dinner party for three, alone. As a single household, you have to get creative during a pandemic.
The world stands still and yet it moves. Even in a group we can feel lonely. But whoever is alone does not have to be lonely.
Five people answered the following questions for me: What does loneliness mean to you? What do you miss most? How do you feel in the midst of many people? How do you feel in the lockdown?
„Isolation“ was inspired by these people’s answers.
Love you on the other Side
When the partner lives in another country. „Our will is only the wind that urges and turns us; because we ourselves are the longing that stands in blossom.“ Rainer Maria Rilke Two lovers are separated by border closure. The memory of tenderness and the longing for closeness floats in the air with every visual contact.
